About the Bolster Textbook

Headquartered in Amsterdam, Bolster Academy creates interactive electronic math texts at the high school and first-year university level, which provide theory and real-time step-by-step problem-solving guidance. Students can click for a hint when not sure what next step to take. The text provides personalized feedback, based on student input. It responds to mistakes, and keeps track of the score. On assignments, the student can retry problems as many times as they like and the score only improves as the students learn. There is also a student-teacher forum to discuss problem solving. Math formulas are entered either from the computer keyboard or using the built-in on-screen touch keyboard. Bolster can be accessed on desktops, laptops, tablets and mobile phones. For completing quizzes, I recommend a desktop or laptop to my students.
